This 4th book to the Vampire Princess Trilogy is in many ways my favorite. It reveals how characters can lose themselves after being granted power and behave in ways that they later regret.
Both Empress Tristina and Prodigy experience this turmoil and (*spoiler) eventually get their priorities straight.

Omg, P. Mattern and L. Gauthier have done it again. Prodigy is one of those books you just can't put down. From chapter to chapter the characters get more intriguing and you can't wait to see what happens next. From Book 1 through this book 4, the characters have grown and changed and gone through so much. So much so, that you hope there is more to come.
